Leisa D. Meyer delivers lecture: "Gays in the Military: The Practical Implications of the Absence of Lesbians from the Debate"

Leisa D. Meyer, Assistant Professor of History at the College of William and Mary, addressed UCSB students and faculty on February 16, 2000. The topic of her presentation was: "Gays in the Military: The Practical Implications of the Absence of Lesbians from the Debate".

Meyer is a distinguished historian whose first book was the critically-acclaimed "Creating GI Jane: Sexuality and Power in the Women's Army Corps During World War II," which was published by Columbia University Press in 1996.
